SPAIN – Fallas Festival: Monuments called ‘fallas’ burn in a fire during the last night of the Fallas Festival in Valencia, Spain, Tuesday. Every year the city of Valencia celebrates the ancient “Las Fallas” fiesta, a noisy week that is full of fireworks and processions in honor of Saint Joseph that ends in the midnight of March 19, burning many characters and large papier mache satirical figures displayed around the streets of the city.

Multiple people were injured in the explosion Sunday night, and police warned nearby residents to remain indoors overnight as investigators looked for possible links to other package bombings elsewhere in the city this month.
