CALIFORNIA – Students Break Through Gate: Students from Mount Diablo High School break through a gate to leave campus during a walkout to protest gun violence on Wednesday, in Concord, Calif. California students have joined the national walkouts to protest gun violence in schools. Students began leaving classrooms at 10 a.m. Wednesday from Los Angeles to the San Francisco Bay Area. The protests follow the shooting rampage that killed 17 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on Feb. 14.

FLORIDA – School Shooter Arraigned: Nikolas Cruz is lead into the courtroom before being arraigned at the Broward County Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Wednesday. Cruz is accused of opening fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., Feb. 14, killing 17 students and adults.
