Attorney Louis Aidala was honored by the National Federation of Italian-American Societies Inc. at the Brooklyn-based organization’s recent dinner, where he was praised for his many years of service to the community.

Aidala, who has been practicing law for decades, is the father of attorney Arthur Aidala, the former president of the Brooklyn Bar Association and Fox News Channel legal analyst. The younger Aidala was on hand to see his father received the award.

The federation’s leaders also honored attorney Ida Como, vice president of the Columbia Lawyers Association of Queens, at the dinner, which took place earlier this month at a local restaurant.

Aidala and Cuomo were each presented with a medallion, a plaque and a certificate commemorating their induction into the Knights and Dames Committee, a charitable branch of the federation.

Founded in 1964, the federation is a nonprofit community service organization headquartered at 8022 17th Ave. in Bensonhurst. The group is headed by former New York State Assemblymember Arnaldo Ferraro.
