First floor fire in Dyker leaves four with minor injuries

A fire on the first floor of a Dyker Heights home left four people with minor injuries on Saturday, February 10.

According to the FDNY, a call came in just before 5 p.m. to report a blaze at 1321 79th Street. The blaze, which saw a response of 12 units and 60 firefighters, was on the first floor of a two-story private dwelling and was placed under control at 5:26 p.m.

Four civilians suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to the FDNY. Three of them were taken to NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn. Another – whose condition was more serious though still non-life-threatening was brought to Maimonides Medical Center.
