St. Ephrem kids get glimpse into future at annual Career Day
St. Ephrem students got thinking about their futures on Tuesday, January 30 as the school – located at 7415 Fort Hamilton Parkway – celebrated another successful Career Day.
Among the adults in attendance to speak to students about what they do for a living were Deputy Inspector Frank Giordano, Fire Marshal Matthew Donnely, Sergeant Steve Dinko, Officer Andy Savva and – perhaps the kids’ favorite – K9 JC. Others careers up for discussion included nurse, social worker, lawyer, journalist and even Monsignor.
It was an extra special occasion for Giordano’s daughter, Allie who, on Tuesday, marked her last Career Day. Allie, an eighth grader, will go on to high school next year.
