Cops seek man wanted for forcibly touching woman inside 86th Street subway station

Police are seeking a man wanted in connection to forcibly touching a woman in a Bay Ridge subway station.

According to authorities, on Sunday, January 14 at around 5:10 a.m., the suspect approached a 38-year-old woman on the Manhattan bound R train platform inside the 86th Street subway station. The man grabbed her buttocks before fleeing the scene.

Cops — who released the information to the media on January 18 — describe the suspect as a Hispanic male, approximately 30 years old and around 220 pounds. He was seen wearing a red sweater, blue jeans and a knit hat.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
