69-year-old driver arrested after striking pedestrian in Bay Ridge

A 69-year-old man was arrested for striking a 30-year-old female pedestrian in Bay Ridge on Tuesday, December 5.
Police say that at around 7:50 a.m. the driver, Jin Lau, made a right turn from 86th Street onto Dahlgren PlaceĀ and hit the woman.
Witnesses described the vehicle as a white van and said thatĀ the victim was dragged for a few feet beforeĀ the driver noticed he had hit her. They also report hearing loud screams following the accident.
