Home Abstract Corp. at 8225 Third Avenue has just celebrated its 40th Anniversary as one of the leading title agencies in New York providing residential and commercial services throughout the state.

Serving the five boroughs since 1977, Home Abstract is one of the longest-standing agencies in New York state. The fourth generation, family-owned business was founded by father and son, Nunzio and Robert D’Addona.

“From the moment, my father [Nunzio] and I opened our office in 1977, the people of Brooklyn opened their hearts to us and gave us a home that would thrive for 40 years and counting” said President Robert D’Addona.

According to D’Addona, the key to their success is their constant dedication to staying ahead of the curve in an ever changing business while keeping their mission the same — to provide unbeatable service and quality on every deal, small or large.

Today, the company is run by Robert along with his two sons, Mark and Gregory. They recently joined a limited list of title agents to obtain the American Land Title Association’s Best Practices certification award of excellence. ALTA aims to “improve the skills and knowledge of providers in the real property transaction,” according to its website

“Obtaining the ALTA Best Practices certification, together with our four decades of experience, is really a testament to what hard work and dedication can accomplish,” said Senior Vice President Gregory D’Addona.

The company has recently expanded to include a Manhattan office at 14 Penn Plaza. As a result, Home Abstract now has the opportunity to further focus on the ever-growing real estate market in Manhattan.

State Sen. Marty Golden and City Council candidate John Quaglione presented the D’Addona family with a proclamation marking their 40th anniversary.

“I am proud to know the D’Addona family and had been invited to celebrate the milestone 40th anniversary of Home Abstract here in Bay Ridge.  It is amazing to think how many people have turned to this office and have been served well as they buy and sell their properties,” said Quaglione.

The secret to the D’Addonas’ success is knowing and caring about their customers. “We are always looking to be one step ahead, always anticipating what are our client wants and needs and we believe this step is just the beginning,” said Mark D’Addona, senior vice president.
