Gov. Andrew Cuomo joined hundreds of union workers at a rally in Cadman Plaza Park in Brooklyn on Monday to lend his support in their fight against Spectrum cable and its parent company Charter Communications.

Close to 1,800 IBEW Local 3 workers went on strike six months ago after failing to reach agreement over proposed changes to retirement and health care plans.

Cuomo said that Charter had failed to fulfill their promise to improve service to customers after taking over Time Warner.

“I am going to hold them to every letter and the spirit of that document and if they don’t get their act together and fulfil that agreement, they’re going to be out of the state of New York,” he told the crowd.
