NEW YORK – Generator on a Barge: Tugboats guide a barge laden with a $195 million heat-recovery steam generator past the Statue of Liberty, Tuesday in New York. The generator is a component of a new, $600 million power plant being built by PSEG. The equipment was assembled in Coeymans, N.Y. and is destined for the Sewaren 7 power plant in Woodbridge, N.J.

PARAGUAY – Farmers Protest: An overhead view of an encampment set up by protesting farmers in the Plaza de Armas, in downtown Asuncion, Paraguay, Tuesday. The farmers, who have been camped out for almost a month, are facing economic hardship after failed harvests due to harsh environmental conditions, and are asking the government to forgive their debts. Last week Paraguay’s President Horacio Cartes vetoed a law that would have forgiven the farmers’ debts.
