New Marvel miniseries to help break records for city, says Cuomo
A new superhero-centric miniseries is helping break records for the state of New York, according to Governor Andrew Cuomo.
The pol announced on Monday, July 31 that Disney, Marvel Television and Netflix are working together to expand on their commitment to the largest television production project in New York State history – more than doubling the initial commitment – with the forthcoming premiere of “Marvel’s The Defenders.”
The series – produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Television Studios – will bring beloved street-level heroes from fellow Netflix originals “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist” together in one series to fight fictitious crime on the streets of the Big Apple.
