What the heck is this doing here? LinkNYC kiosks not a hit with everyone

Hundreds of 9-1/2-foot-tall LinkNYC kiosks — which provide phone, Wi-Fi service and a charging station — have been installed across the city, with more coming every day. While they are getting increased usage, the kiosks, which come equipped with built-in cameras and targeted video advertising, are not popular with everyone.
Case in point: Cobble Hill resident Judith Barnes came back from a vacation last week only to find this LinkNYC kiosk installed directly in front of her apartment window.
