HAITI — Neighbors Go Head-to Head: In this Sunday photo, a Haitian bodybuilder peers from behind the curtain to watch his competitors perform at the Haiti Bodybuilding Classic, an event which features both Haitian and Dominican Republican athletes, in Port-au-Prince. It was the first such showdown between the neighboring countries whose relations are often tense.

PHILIPPINES — Citizens Hold President to His Word: Protesters shout slogans during a rally outside the Lower House to coincide with the state of the nation address of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday in Quezon. Thousands of protesters march towards the Lower House with an effigy of Duterte to demand that he deliver on a wide range of promises he made in his first state of the nation address last year, from pressing peace talks with Marxist guerrillas, which is currently on hold, to upholding human rights and the rule of law.

INDIA — Residents Attend Festival: Indian Pnar or Jaintia tribesmen carry chariots, or “rongs,” and dance in muddy waters as others watch during Behdienkhlam festival celebrations in Tuber on Monday. Behdienkhlam is a traditional festival of the Pnars celebrated after sowing is done seeking a good harvest and to drive away plague and diseases. Young men symbolically drive away evil spirits by beating the roof of every house with bamboo poles.

INDIANA – Fiery Crash: The car driven by Martin Truex Jr. burns after a crash with Kyle Busch during the NASCAR Brickyard 400 auto race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Sunday. 

LIBYA – Swimming to Safety: African migrants try to reach a rescue boat from the Spanish NGO Proactiva Open Arms, after falling from the punctured rubber boat in the Mediterranean Sea, about 12 miles north of Sabratha, Libya on Sunday.

JAPAN – Punch to the Face: Colombian challenger Robert Barrera gets a punch from Japanese champion Ryoichi Taguchi, in the second round of their WBA world light flyweight boxing title match in Tokyo, Sunday. Taguchi defended his title by a technical knockout in the ninth round.
