CALIFORNIA – Plane Crash on Freeway: Emergency responders gather round the crash of a Cessna 310 aircraft on Interstate 405, just short of a runway at John Wayne Airport in Costa Mesa, Calif., Friday. Two people were injured in the small plane crash.

NEW YORK – Police at Bronx Shooting: Police help people cross the street outside the Bronx Lebanon Hospital in New York after a gunman opened fire there on Friday. The gunman, identified as Dr. Henry Bello who used to work at the hospital, returned with a rifle hidden under his white lab coat, law enforcement officials said.
