The body of a man who jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge on Thursday morning was found floating in the Bay Ridge Channel hours later, police sources told the New York Post.

The victim’s corpse was discovered around 8:15 a.m. off of the 69th Street Pier near 68th Street and Bay Ridge Avenue.

NYPD’s Harbor Unit removed the body from the water shortly thereafter.

Members of NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit were called to the scene around 3:40 a.m. to try and lure the disturbed man away from the edge, but their efforts were for naught as he leapt off the overpass at roughly 4:30 a.m.

Police officers confirmed with the Post that the body found in the waterway was that of the man who jumped off the bridge.

It was the second corpse removed from the borough’s waters in as many days.

On Tuesday, a woman’s decomposed body was discovered in the vicinity of Gowanus Bay and Buttermilk Channel off the Red Hook shoreline.

NYPD officials received a call for a body floating in the water at approximately 11:21 a.m. on Tuesday. The corpse was initially seen near Conover Street.

The NYPD Harbor Unit responded to the scene and removed a headless torso of an unidentified female.

The victim’s head, arms, chest and lower legs were not found.

She was brought to Pier 44, where medical officials pronounced her dead, according to police officers.

On Wednesday, NYPD released an image of a tattoo found on the victim’s right hip.

The tattoo, which is written in Sanskrit, means “Lily” or “Lilyann,” NYPD officials told the Daily News.

Police officers are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the woman’s body.

Anyone with information regarding either incident is encouraged to call NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

Similar events have occurred on Brooklyn’s waterfront over the past few years.

A decomposed body was found in June 2016 off of Brooklyn Bridge Park’s (BBP) Pier 5 near Furman and Joralemon streets.

In August 2015, a 22-year-old man’s body was found floating in DUMBO near the Brooklyn Bridge.

In July 2014, another man’s body was found floating off of BBP’s Pier 6.
