The Brooklyn chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR) held its annual spring fashion show on Wednesday at the Fort Hamilton Army Base Officer’s Club. Sixty people attended the fundraising event, which included raffles and a jewelry sale held to benefit cystic fibrosis. This year’s theme was “High Fashion, High Tea.”

The WCR serves as a network to help advance women as professionals and leaders in business, the industry and the communities they serve.

According to WCR Brooklyn Chapter President Robin Snyder, “Our members are passionate about their businesses and their relationships, and know that the Women’s Council of Realtors network and leadership training will help them excel at both.”

The spring fashion show brought out distinguished community leaders including attorney Joanne Seminara, a partner in Grimaldi and Yeung; Renee Dorsa of Dorsa Group Realty; and Julie Thum, associate broker and realtor at RE/MAX.

Event sponsors included Brian Chin, president of Northfield Bank; Tony Ciccone of Allstate Insurance; Michael DeDominicis of AMB Mortgage; Morris Esses of Malson’s Jewelers; Kenneth A. Farrell of Mid-Island Mortgage Corp.; Robert Howe; Alan Majzner of Cross Country Mortgage; Frank Micali of Citibank; Igo Noble of Great Northern Mortgage; Marc Oringer of Power Express; and Jackson Roberts of Homebridge Financial Services.

Thum told the Brooklyn Eagle, “We had several wonderful sponsors at the ‘High Fashion, High Tea’ fundraiser. Lester’s of Avenue U supplied the beautiful fashions. Malson’s Jewelers of Bay Ridge supplied the elegant jewelry. Raffles were held to benefit cystic fibrosis. A good time was had by all and we raised money for a very worthy cause.”
