Another Target is taking aim at Brooklyn.

The major retailer announced on Monday, February 27 that it will open another small format store in the borough, this time in Midwood.

The new store, located near the corner of Kings Highway and East 14th Street, is slated to open in the fall of 2018. By then, the Midwood store will be the company’s fifth small format store in the greater New York City area, following on the heels of the one projected to premiere in Bensonhurst as early as October of this year, and Brooklyn’s City Point store, which officially opened in January.

The new small format store, which will utilize approximately 37,700 square-feet of space, will have two levels and, like its other compact locations, will be tailored to meet the needs of local residents.

“We look forward to expanding Target’s presence in Brooklyn to serve even more guests with the addition of the new Midwood neighborhood store,” said Mark Schindele, senior vice president of properties at Target. “We think the community will enjoy the convenient shopping experience with a unique assortment mix that only Target can provide.”

The Midwood location is just one of 33 small store Targets coming over the course of the next three years.
