Finding the perfect Valentine’s Day gift might be a little tricky; however, the large variety of stores in Bay Ridge make the task that much easier.

With major shopping districts along Third and Fifth Avenues, as well as 86th Street, the Ridge is full of Valentine’s surprises:

86th Street

86th street mainstay Century 21 (472 86th Street) has a wide variety of clothing, shoes and home goods. In order to snag a deal this holiday, choose from its fragrance sets for both men and women. You can save anywhere from 20-30 percent off usual pricey Prada, including Prada “Candy” gift sets for women and “Luna Rossa” for men. Another steal: fragrances by Rihanna are half off.

Recently opened Bath & Body Works (444 86th Street) has a host of items for women, such as gift sets from the “A Thousand Wishes” line of lotions and shower gels – all pink, red and sparkly for V-Day. They come in two sizes: small for $13.50 and large for $27.

What you may not know is that Bath & Body Works also has great stuff for men, such as the Mahogany Teakwood candle, available in a High Intensity version. Candles cost $11 for small and $15 for large.

Another new store, Pandora (407 86th Street) has great gifts as part of its Valentine’s Day collection. The great thing about Pandora is you can make a one-of-a-kind custom charm bracelet that fits your style and your budget. Pandora also has stunning heart-shaped earrings and necklaces at around $125.

Fifth Avenue

Of course, every Valentine’s Day gift has to have a card. American Greetings (8511 Fifth Avenue) has an endless supply of cards for the holiday, ranging from funny to romantic. It also has gifts to go alongside your card, like cute stuffed animals, picture frames and even a set of his and hers mugs reading “Mr. Right” and “Mrs. Always Right.” This set costs $20.

Finding the perfect gift for a guy seems like a challenge but Prato Fine Men’s Wear (8508 Fifth Avenue) has clothing that will fit any style. Trendy puffer vests that come in almost any color you can imagine are all on sale for only $25. Fancy ties — and there are tons in Valentine’s Day-appropriate colors and patterns — start at only $10.

No Valentine’s Day would be complete without flowers. Look to Henry’s Florist (8103 Fifth Avenue) for any of your floral needs including bouquets and special Valentine’s Day arrangements. Henry’s also delivers throughout Brooklyn.

Third Avenue

Heart to Heart (9006 Third Avenue) is overflowing with everything from stuffed animals to frames to jewelry and other trinkets. It is pretty hard to go in there and not find something for your special someone.

For the bookworm in your life, or maybe even for yourself, head to The Bookmark Shoppe (8415 Third Avenue). The store has a special section of books if your son or daughter is your Valentine, including titles such as “Sesame Street: My Fuzzy Valentine” and “Happy Valentine’s Day, Mouse!”

For the adults, there are loads of romance novels and relationship books. If you want to spoil yourself, Searching for John Hughes by Jason Diamond will do the trick. It’s for anyone who wishes for a happy ending straight out of an ’80s movie.
