To mark anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Gillibrand goes to Senate floor to stand up for women’s health
U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand spoke on the Senate floor on Tuesday to mark the 44th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision affirming that women have a constitutional right to make their own healthcare decisions. Gillibrand called on her colleagues to protect women’s access to life-saving health care provided under the Affordable Care Act and urged the Supreme Court to uphold Roe v. Wade.
