R train service temporarily suspended in Bay Ridge due to police activity at 86th Street
Update (Thursday, January 12): Police have confirmed that the man, a Dyker Heights resident, has died.
Update (2:05 p.m.): The MTA has confirmed that the suspension occurred after a man jumped onto the tracks. Sources at the agency say he is still alive at this time.
Due to heavy police activity at the 86th Street subway station in Bay Ridge, service is temporarily suspended along the R line in both directions between 95th Street and 59th Street.
