Recent Taste of Sunset Park also emphasized family events at Industry City

Industry City is booming. It’s becoming a vital city in its own right and is hosting many exciting events for children.

On Saturday, Oct. 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Sunset Park Cinema Club for kids will present a special Halloween celebration at Industry City. Free activities include a movie screening of Tim Burton’s “Coraline,” hands-on crafting for kids and families, a Taste of Sunset Park food pop-up, a Halloween costume party and Halloween face painting.

The schedule for Saturday is as follows:

  • Doors open (10 a.m.)

  • BRIC Arts kids activity (10:30 to 11:30 a.m.)

  • Pumpkin-carving demonstration & Face Art by Melissa (10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.)

  • Taste of Sunset Park Food Pop-Up, featuring local food and artisanal vendors

  • Movie screening (11:45 a.m.)

All events take place at Factory Floor at Industry City (233 37th St.) between 2nd and 3rd Avenues.
