Chadwick’s — one of Brooklyn’s most popular restaurants — is going country … for one night only. On Saturday, Oct. 8, from 9 p.m. to midnight, country entertainer Loren will bring his show to Bay Ridge. Restaurant owners Steve Oliver and Gerry Morris are turning Chadwick’s into a honky tonk for a night of good ol’ down home country music.

Chadwick’s, known for its great American cuisine, has been ranked among the borough’s premier steak houses since 1987. Renowned for its warm and inviting atmosphere and impeccable service, this neighborhood favorite exudes old-world charm along with a world-class menu.

The decision to showcase the country entertainer came from Oliver. He first met Loren at the Colonia Country Club in New Jersey. Loren has worked as a golf caddy master for more than 30 years. Loren told Oliver about his second career as a country singer and his passion for country music.

After Oliver listened to Loren’s music and watched his videos on YouTube, he was so impressed by what he heard that he immediately booked the singer to play at the restaurant.  Oliver explained, “Loren was very good and we thought he would be something a little different for a Saturday night. We’ve booked jazz combos and two-guitar players in the past, but this is our first time on the country-western side.”

Loren Utt, who simply goes by Loren, is a resident of Staten Island who was born and raised in Chicago and is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. The former corpsman transforms himself from a caddy master by day to a patriotic cowboy by night, singing heartfelt country music favorites from yesterday and today.

Loren has played shows throughout the New York area as well as New Jersey. He performs original songs along with classics by legendary country stars like Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Kenny Rogers, along with today’s biggest country hits by Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, George Strait and Toby Keith. In fact, Loren was the winner of a singing competition sponsored by Keith’s American Ride Tour.

So, if you love genuine, pure country music, put on your boots, grab your Stetson and head on down to Chadwick’s for a little bit of country in the big city.
