Man struck with metal pipe on busy 86th Street corner

Cops say a 23-year-old man was assaulted while walking near the southeast corner of Fifth Avenue and 86th Street on Saturday, August 27.

The victim told police that two men, ages 29 and 30, approached and struck him with a metal pipe just passed 12:30 a.m., causing bruises to the right side of his face.

Police recovered the weapon and arrested two suspects on assault charges.
