The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) says two painted storks are making their public debut at the Prospect Park Zoo.

The large wading birds are native to tropical regions of Asia.

They have black, white and pink wing feathers, orange beaks and pink legs.

The rest of their plumage is mostly white. In a WCS photo, the bird looks like it’s wearing a fuzzy white hoodie pulled over its orange head.

The painted storks are among the feathered friends in the zoo’s Discovery Trail aviary.
