Cops on the lookout for violent Sheepshead Bay robber
The NYPD is on the lookout for a perp who followed, attacked and robbed a woman in Sheepshead Bay on Monday, July 4.
According to police, the woman, 47, left a bodega located near Avenue S and Coney Island Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. and began to walk home. The perp, described by police as a Hispanic male approximately in his late teens to early twenties, followed the woman along Avenue S and punched her in the back of the head when she reached the intersection of East 12th Street.
The perp then removed her purse – the contents of which included an iPhone 6S, credit cards and cash – and fled southbound on East 12th Street.
