Money can’t buy me love, as the Beatles said (or sang, really).

But we’d rather have a Park Slope brownstone, and the cash to renovate it.

Here are some neighborhood properties that recently changed hands and are now being refurbished:

* This past April, an LLC controlled by Amit Stern bought 539 4th St. for $8.625 million, city Finance Department records indicate.

The four-story neo-Georgian apartment house was built according to a design drawn up in 1905 by Brooklyn architect Thomas Bennett, a 1973 city Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) designation report about the Park Slope Historic District says.

* Interior work is underway at 552 1st St., which Daniel and Karen Ratner bought for $4.875 million from Michael and Virginia Genereux in September 2014, according to Finance Department records.

The sellers had purchased the house for $3.575 million in 2005.

The century-old neo-Renaissance house was designed by architects Eisenla and Carlson, the LPC’s historic designation report indicates.

* An LLC with Arthur Steinberg as a partner paid $6.2 million this past November for 312 Garfield Place, Finance Department and city Buildings Department records indicate.

The brownstone was built by developer William Flanagan in 1900, the LPC’s designation report says.

The house is located on the block between Prospect Park West and Eighth Avenue.

* Other properties on the Garfield Place block between Prospect Park West and Eighth Avenue are also under renovation. Among them, 307 Garfield Place was sold to an LLC for $3.615 million in late December 2012, Finance Department records indicate.

The Romanesque Revival house was designed by Brooklyn architect Magnus Dahlander and built in 1892, the LPC’s designation report notes.
