This past Saturday, the U.S. Wall Ball Association partnered with the City University of New York (CUNY) for its annual Prep for Success Handball Tournament at the Dyker Beach Park Anthony Mosomillo Courts at Bay Eighth Street and Cropsey Avenue.

More than 300 men and women, 21 years of age and younger, competed in doubles handball tournaments.

The event also featured guest speaker John Wallace, formerly of the New York Knicks; a 20-minute seminar on the importance of education and the resources available to apply for financial aid; and a donation of 300 backpacks from Heavenly Productions. Modell’s Sporting Goods also sponsored the event, providing more than $2,000 in gift cards.
