Over 250 packs of untaxed cigarettes seized from Ridge smoke shop

Cops seized 289 packs of untaxed cigarettes and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia from a Third Avenue smoke shop on the morning of Monday, March 14.
Officers from the 68th Precinct confiscated the illegal substances sometime around 9 a.m. and found the cigarette boxes to have forged tax stamps printed on them as well as small bags, known to be used for storing marijuana, the precinct’s commanding officer Captain Joseph Hayward told this paper.
Cash, totaling $4,900, was recovered from the scene as well.
