Girl in stroller injured after getting hit by vehicle in Sunset

A one-year-old girl in a stroller was hit by a 2015 Ford Suburban on Friday, March 11 at approximately 12:30 p.m. and sustained bruising.
According to police, a 78-year-old man was making a right turn on Fourth Avenue and 51st Street when his vehicle struck the child. The driver remained on the scene following the accident. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded and rushed the girl to NYU Lutheran Medical Center. The man was issued a summons for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
Cops from the 72nd Precinct said that the injuries were not life threatening.
