Brooklyn Cyclones to channel the Tanners at first-ever Full House Tribute Night
Have mercy!
The Brooklyn Cyclones will pay homage to the “City by the Bay,” and its most popular residents – the Tanner family – this summer at MCU Park’s first ever Full House Tribute Night on Saturday, July 9.
There, the Cyclones will square off against the Hudson Valley Renegades (all while wearing special on-field jerseys featuring a foggy Golden Gate Bridge on the front, and a design reminiscent of Uncle Jesse’s wallpaper – pink bunny and all).
The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a John Stamos bobblehead (complete with perfectly coiffed Uncle Jesse-esque locks) and – in honor of Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky’s 25th wedding anniversary – the first 25 couples who were married in 1991 will be given the opportunity to toss a first pitch prior to the game. They’ll also be invited back onto the field prior to the start of the post-game fireworks for a cheek-to-cheek dance to Uncle Jesse’s hit song, “Forever.”
Other activities will include:
- A Danny Tanner clean-off
- An Uncle Jesse air guitar contest
- A no-hands cereal eating competition (in honor of Uncle Jesse’s struggles post-motorcycle crash)
- An Uncle Joey race around the bases (where contestants will have to channel their inner Dave Coulier by dressing like Bullwinkle, playing the role of Popeye and saving Olive Oil, scoring a hockey goal and then racing home to wave the Canadian flag)
- A Kimmy Gibbler-inspired stinky feet competition (yes, really)
In honor of the Olsen Twins (and Michelle Tanner), real life twins will be granted two-for-one ticket deals at the box office. All broken bats will be presented by Ranger Joe’s sidekick Mr. Woodchuck.
Single game tickets for the 2016 season will go on sale in May, but on Friday, March 4, Full House (and Netflix’s own Fuller House) enthusiasts will be able to get their hands on a special “Fill the House” package (on sale at 10 a.m.) which will include a field box seat, guaranteed John Stamos bobblehead and a replica of the on-field jersey – all for just $40.
Those interested are urged to act quickly, as these packages are sure to sell out.
