The star and Brooklyn native was mourned at an early morning service held at the Basilica of Regina Pacis (1230 65th Street) in Dyker Heights, after which she was taken to be buried at Resurrection Cemetery in Staten Island, where she lived for most of her life.

She was waked over the weekend at Scarpaci Funeral Home (1401 86th Street), where masses of friends, family members and fans stopped by to show their love and support.

Raiola – star of the hit VH1 reality show “Mob Wives” – died Thursday, February 18 after a battle with stage four throat cancer that, since her first diagnosis in March, 2015, eventually spread to her brain and lung.

She was 55 years old.

As news of her death spread, those who knew her were quick to share their memories of the star on social media.

“I got to meet Big Ang about six years ago,” wrote Facebook user Joseph De Vincenzo, who met Raiola in Staten Island while visiting an old friend who knew her well. “My friend introduced me and I got a big hug like we [were] friends forever. She was very friendly and outgoing and the type of person that made you feel like you were part of the family.”

“Big Ang was a larger-than-life personality that lit up every room she entered,” wrote television personality Dr. Mehmet Oz on Twitter. “She’ll be sorely missed.”
