Professional snowboarder who suffered traumatic brain injury to speak at St. Francis College

Professional snowboarder Kevin Pearce was training for Olympic gold when he suffered a traumatic brain injury shortly before the 2010 Vancouver games. Years into his recovery, Pearce will speak about his constant struggle at St. Francis College on Tuesday, February 23 at 11:10 a.m. (180 Remsen St., Room 4202).

Pearce will discuss his advocacy for those living with brain injuries as well as the work he does for people with Down’s syndrome. Pearce’s struggle was featured in the documentary “The Crash Reel.”

The event is free and open to the public.
