Suspect sought for Shore Road robbery, assault

Cops are looking to identify the man they say sprayed two Bay Ridge women in the face with an unknown substance and robbed them of their property of Saturday, February 6.

According to police, at around 11:35 a.m. the suspect approached a 53-year-old woman and an 81-year-old woman near the corner of Shore Road and 82^nd Street and sprayed them in the face. He then allegedly knocked the 53-year-old woman to the ground, snatched her purse and fled northbound on the avenue.

The perp is described as a black man, approximately 30 to 40 years old. He is said to stand at 5’10” to 6’ tall and weigh anywhere from 180 to 210 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a three-quarter length hoodie camouflaged jacket, dark pants and dark shoes.
