A group of New York City councilmembers will be sponsoring the city’s first-ever Styrofoam collection event across all five boroughs, emphasizing the importance of recycling.

The free event, which is co-sponsored by PS Recycle It , will have drop-off locations in each of the five boroughs on Saturday, January 9 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Brooklyn location, with Councilmember Alan Maisel taking the reins, will be the Nick’s Lobster parking lot, located at 2777 Flatbush Avenue.
