Santa enjoyed more than just milk and cookies on Saturday, December 12.

Cub Scouts Pack 20 and Boy Scouts Troop 20, treated good old St. Nick to some good eats at the New Utrecht Reformed Church as the gang celebrated its annual Breakfast with Santa event.

“We’ve been hosting this for more than 20 years,” said Cub Scoutmaster Elaine Delaney. “It’s a community event because we have our Scouts that join us, our Scouts’ families and Thomas Neve from Reaching Out Community Services sends some of his volunteers over.”

The event serves up a French toast breakfast with sausage, juice and fresh fruit. Each Scout gets a picture taken with Santa and receives a gift as well. Crafts, face painting and other activities are provided.

“The money we raise will help two Boy Scout and Cub Scout programs,” added Delaney. “The New Utrecht Reformed Church has been sponsoring us for 105 years.”
