Two 68th Precinct police officers are okay after their patrol car was “t-boned” by another vehicle near the corner of Third Avenue and 89th Street, right outside O’Sullivan’s Bar & Grill, at around 4:30 p.m. Monday, December 14.

According to a police source, the two officers were responding to an assault in progress when their car was hit on the passenger side near the busy Bay Ridge corner. The FDNY responded to the scene. The officers were transported to NYU Lutheran Medical Center, and have since been released from the hospital with no serious injuries.

“They’re sore,” said the source, “but no, nothing serious.”

The driver who struck the officers’ vehicle was issued a summons for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and refused medical attention at the scene.
