Pratt Institute’s Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator (BF + DA) held its first ever Positive Impact Awards Monday night to celebrate its first year in operation. The Pratt Institute initiative is a hub for ethical fashion and design that provides designers with the resources they need to transform their sustainable ideas into sustainable businesses.
The inaugural Impact Awards honored individuals in the fashion and the apparel industry who are making a difference, including Eileen Fisher, Lewis Perkins, Linda Greer and Andrew Morgan.
Guests were able to tour the 21,000-square-foot facility, meet the people and designers who comprise the Accelerator and attended open studios hosted by venture fellows.
