Shoppers spent the night in camp chairs on the sidewalk outside the H&M store on Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn Wednesday night, hoping to get first shot at H&M’s collaboration with luxury designer Balmain.

“The collection is striking, with lots of cool colors,” said fashion enthusiast Kelly S. “They have a fur coat I’m prepared to kill someone for.”

Shoppers said the lines were longer and wilder in Manhattan. Videos on social media showed shoppers erupting in a “Balmainia” frenzy when doors opened in shops in the morning. The collection in Paris sold out within hours.

In London, bickering and scuffles broke out on the street as crowds grew Wednesday night, the Guardian reports.

Items went on sale on Thursday at 8 a.m. at select locations around the world. According to Newsweek, by 9:30 a.m., there were almost 1,000 listings of the nearly sold out collection on eBay.

Prices went as high as $2,150 for a women’s leather jacket that retailed for $399.
