There were Ghostbusters, gypsies, Minions, and people looking like they came straight from the set of “The Walking Dead” wandering around the Saint Patrick Catholic Academy auditorium on the night of Oct. 23. But it was a friendly invasion! The academy, located at 401 97th St. in Bay Ridge, hosted a pre-Halloween party for students, teachers and parents and even Principal Andrea D’Emic got into the spirit of the event, coming to the party dressed as a Minion from the movie “Despicable Me.” The students used a great deal of creativity to come up with their costumes. There were several boys who decided to pay tribute to the New York Mets by wearing baseball uniforms in honor of the fact that the team is playing in the World Series.
