Greenpoint is so groovy.
It’s got some hipster flare, but not enough to be irritating to the rest of us. It’s got traces of its Polish heritage, so there are interesting places to buy Polish pastries and books.
It’s got some genuinely grimy industrial spots, which enchant the eye that seeks out picturesque urban grit. It’s got blocks with lovely historic rowhouses that can hold their own against those in the snootiest Brooklyn brownstone neighborhoods.
