GREECE — Authorities Continue to Register: A boy passes from the northern village of Idomeni to southern Macedonia as other refugees and migrants wait on Thursday. Thousands of people, including many families with young children, braved torrential downpours to cross the country’s northern border with Macedonia after authorities managed to register about 17,000 people on the island of Lesbos in the space of a few days, allowing them to continue their journey north into Europe.

PAKISTAN — Mosquito Net Hangs in Hospital: A patient suffering from dengue fever sits in an isolation ward at a local hospital in Rawalpindi on Thursday. Hundreds of patients suffering from the mosquito-borne disease registered in Rawalpindi, health officials said. Dengue, a flu-like illness is spread by the Aedes mosquitos and spikes during the annual monsoons, when the rains leave puddles of stagnant water where the insects breed.
