Hundreds of patients suffering from the mosquito-borne disease registered in Rawalpindi, health officials said. Dengue, a flu-like illness is spread by the Aedes mosquitos and spikes during the annual monsoons, when the rains leave puddles of stagnant water where the insects breed.
