A woman was killed on Thursday, August 20 when she fell out of a moving car at Fifth Avenue and Bay Ridge Parkway around 11:36 p.m., according to cops.

The woman, Danielle Aronsen, 29, and the male driver, Andrew Berkowitz, 35, had left a Bay Ridge bar and were both “supposedly intoxicated,” according to a police source, who also said the man was “driving erratically on Bay Ridge Parkway between Fifth and Sixth Avenues” before Aronsen “fell out of the car and hit her head on the ground.”

Aronsen was taken to Lutheran Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

The driver – who lived at the same address as Aronsen – was taken into custody and charged with DWI, based on observations of experts within the NYPD after he refused a breathalizer test.

He was subsequently also charged with Manslaughter, Vehicular Manslaughter, Criminally Negligent Homicide, Leaving the scene of an Accident, Reckless Driving and DWAI.
