NYU Lutheran to offer free health screenings
When is the last time you had your blood pressure checked? Or went to the dentist? NYU Lutheran Family Health Centers is making sure you will run out of excuses to have these and other medical screenings done.
National Health Center Week will take place Aug. 9-15, and to celebrate NYU Lutheran Family Health Centers will be offering free medical screenings during that week, officials announced.
NYU Lutheran Family Health Centers, a collection of small, family-oriented medical clinics throughout Brooklyn, operates under the jurisdiction of NYU Lutheran, the entity that owns NYU Lutheran Medical Center, the hospital at 150 55th St. in Sunset Park.
In April, Lutheran Medical Center and its affiliated medical groups entered into a partnership with NYU Langone Medical Center.
“Getting regular health checkups can prevent a minor issue from developing into a big problem,” Larry K. McReynolds, president of NYU Lutheran Family Health Centers, wrote in an email to the Brooklyn Eagle. “When you get screened, you are taking steps to help yourself live a longer, healthier life. During this National Health Center Week, NYU Lutheran Family Health Centers wants to help you improve your health by offering a number of completely free health screenings Aug. 11-14.”
