Head to Shore Road Park for free yoga lessons
Bay Ridge residents can now do sun salutations to their hearts’ content. Shore Road Park will become a giant outdoor yoga studio this summer thanks to Assemblymember Nicole Malliotakis and state Sen. Marty Golden, who are sponsoring a series of free lessons for local residents.
The two Bay Ridge lawmakers are partnering with two businesses, Yoga In Bay Ridge and Bikram Yoga, to offer free classes in Shore Road Park near the intersection of Shore Road and 79th Street.
One session was held already, on July 18. Three more sessions are scheduled to take place on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 29 at 9 a.m.; and Monday, Sept. 14, at 6:30 p.m.
Space is limited, according to Malliotakis, who urged anyone interested in attending the classes to reserve a spot by calling her office at 718-987-0197 or by calling Golden’s office at 718-238-6044.
