BBP’s 2015 Books Beneath the Bridge series to feature Jami Attenberg and Dennis Dunaway, among others
Brooklyn BookBeat
Books Beneath the Bridge, a free summer literary series hosted by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy (BBPC), is returning to Brooklyn Bridge Park for its fourth season. Sponsored by AT&T, the program partners with independent bookstores that curate outdoor readings, which include a Q&A and book signing with featured authors.
The BBPC this week announced the full lineup for the 2015 series, which includes acclaimed authors Kate Bolick, Jami Attenberg and Dennis Dunaway. The weekly program will feature a Poetry Salon and several readings, all framed by views of the sunset against the New York skyline. Each event is free and open to the public.
The program began July 6 and will run for six consecutive Mondays at Pier 1’s Granite Prospect at 7 p.m. (entrance at Old Fulton and Furman streets).
Participating bookstores organize their respective evenings by selecting a theme and authors of their choice. In addition to hearing renowned authors read from their work, guests will have the opportunity to ask questions during a Q&A, purchase books and meet the authors during a book signing following the reading.
