Now that summer is in full swing, a Bay Ridge-based singing group is eager to help audiences celebrate the season.

The Rhapsody Players will be performing a special concert, “Summer in the City,” on Saturday, July 11, at Saint Mary’s Antiochian Orthodox Church, 192 81st St. (corner of 81st Street and Ridge Boulevard) at 8 p.m.

Get ready to enjoy hits from the 1950s, ’60s, ’70s and ’80s at the concert, which is being produced by Rhapsody Players founder John Heffernan.

“Come and join us in a cabaret setting and see and hear songs you have never heard from us before, songs that you haven’t seen us do in years and all of your old favorites,” a statement from the group reads.

The Rhapsody Players – John Heffernan, Colleen Martin-O’Donnell, Anthony Marino, Bernard Smith, Donna Heffernan, Kiernan Hamilton, and Kevin Sweeney — perform numerous concerts throughout the year to raise money for charity.

We will make a donation from this concert to St. Patrick Church’s Christ Be With Me Campaign,” the group’s statement reads.

The campaign is raising funds for capital improvements to St. Patrick Catholic Church and to St. Patrick Catholic Academy in Bay Ridge.

Tickets are $20.00 per person. Beer and wine will be sold at the show. For ticket information, call 646-335-2710 or email [email protected].
