Hey, all of you dads out there, what could be better than spending Father’s Day with your kids enjoying the cool breeze on the waterfront?

Councilmember Vincent Gentile and the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance are scheduled to co-host a Father’s Day event at the 69th Street Pier in Bay Ridge on Sunday.

The event, called Dad’s Day on the Pier, will run from 11a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine, located on 69th Street and Shore Road.

Dad’s Day on the Pier will feature family-friendly activities including miniature golf with maritime obstacles, arts and crafts and more, Gentile said.

It should be a spectacular day, according to Gentile (D-Bay Ridge-Dyker Heights-parts of Bensonhurst), who said the pier offers stunning vistas of the Manhattan skyline, lower New York Harbor and the Verrazano Bridge.

“Dad’s Day on the Pier is a wonderful opportunity for residents to come out and enjoy the pier while celebrating Father’s Day,” Gentile said. “I am happy to have teamed up with the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance for this event, which will hopefully re-introduce folks to our beautiful waterfront parks just in time for summer.”

For information on the event, call Gentile’s office at 718-748-5200.
