The article focused on the junior class at NYU being suspended due to hazing activities.

“The entire junior class at NYU in Manhattan was suspended for three days … this morning, for the hazing of Henry Bloch on Wednesday,” the Eagle reported.

HARRY S. TRUMAN was born on this day in 1884. Truman was the 33rd president of the United States, succeeded to that office upon the death of Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1945 and served until 1953. Truman was the last of the nine U.S. presidents who did not attend college. He died in 1972.

THE THIRD ANNUAL Brooklyn Bridge march and rally to end gun violence will take place on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. The march begins at Cadman Plaza Park, and the rally will follow the march at about 11 a.m. at City Hall Plaza in Downtown Brooklyn.

A BROOKLYN BIKE JUMBLE will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Old Stone House in Park Slope. Available at the event are new or used bikes, new and used accessories, clothing, collectibles, artwork and overstocks.
