Residents will get a chance to meet representatives from various city agencies and civic organizations and get their questions answered on everything from how to pay water bills to applying for senior housing at a special fair state Sen. Simcha Felder is hosting on May 7.

The free event, which Felder is sponsoring, will take place on Thursday, May 7, at the Midwood Library, 985 East 16th St., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Representatives from various agencies, including the Human Resources Administration, the NYPD, the Fire Department, the Department of Finance, and the Department of Aging will be on hand to answer questions from residents.

Felder (D-Borough Park-Midwood-Flatbush) has also invited utilities, like National Grid, and civic organizations, such as Yeled V’Yalda, COJO of Flatbush and Selfhelp to take part in the fair.

In addition, Maimonides Medical Center will provide free blood pressure screenings.

“I encourage everyone to come to the event and take advantage of the services which will be provided free of charge,” Felder said. “The fair will be a great way to meet the representatives of the agencies that we all interact with on a daily basis.”
