Do you live near the historic Navy Yard? Did someone in your family work here? Are you curious about what goes on here today?

The Brooklyn Navy Yard invites visitors of all ages to a special day of community connection in celebration of Preservation Week.

Visitors can experience the history, mystery and industry of the Yard this Sunday. They’ll work with you to record stories about your connections to the Yard and invite you to share materials to add to the Yard’s archives, with free sessions with an archivist on preserving photos, documents, etc.

The Yard will also host a free exhibit tour of BLDG 92, and a sustainability scavenger hunt. (You may need tickets for some events.)

Admission for the Brooklyn Navy Yard Past, Present, & Future Tour (2 to 4 p.m.), operated by Turnstile Tours in partnership with BLDG 92, requires general admission ($30/person, $27/seniors & vets, $15/children).

The event takes place Sunday, April 26, 1 to 4 p.m. Brooklyn Navy Yard, BLDG 92, 63 Flushing Avenue.
